THE TEAM

Ayaan Lasheen
Secretary-General

Ayaan is an A-Level student, currently studying at Al Diyafah High School. As an ardent admirer of the riotous worlds of international politics and economics, cynically watching American politics, financial markets, and global security unfold is right down his alley! He enjoys expanding his mind in fun and unique ways, and with interests ranging from watching mob movies to analysing the stock market, his hobbies are rather diverse.

Beyond the suits, formal discourse, and public speaking, he believes Model UN is a platform to make friends, explore your creativity of thought, learn about the world, and have an awesome time doing so!

As the Secretary-General of ADMUN ‘22, he hopes to eliminate the intimidation that is generally attached to the intellectual nature of Model UN conferences and provide delegates an unforgettably exciting, enjoyable, and productive experience.

Her fascination with international politics, national policy, and social controversy fuelled her to participate in many MUNs, public speaking competitions & debates. She firmly believes that the calibre of any delegate lies in their research and confidence. Her advice to you: “Put your best efforts into research and supplement the rest with confidence.”

Krista Fernandez
Programme Director

Krista describes herself as a passionate debater and an avid reader. Over 5 years ago, when she attended her first Model UN conference, she thought it would be a daunting experience. However, having attended multiple conferences since then, she has developed a love for MUNs given the sense of empowerment and importance she felt. MUNs have taught her the importance of being aware of the issues taking place in the world and feels that it is our responsibility to speak up for those who are being silenced. She solemnly believes that the current youth can achieve great feats and must not shy away from speaking up for what they believe in.

With a special talent of being able to stay absolutely calm in stressful situations, Hasan Nasir is an incredibly organised student in the 11th grade at Al Diyafah. Passionately participating in all MUNs he ever hears of, as a delegate or significant positions of responsibilities, he has a clear and valid idea of what every MUNer, whether being experienced or a first timer expects, as well as the smallest aspects that make the entire experience unforgettable. Having an eye for detail and familiarity with leadership positions in the student council for 2 successful years, his people skills and ability to ensure everyone’s involvement is a

From staying up all night on school days, to conveniently “forgetting” about tests the next day to complete any and every work that doesn’t involve studying, he is an overly dedicated person and is looking forward to having your trust and dependence on him give him another excuse to avoid his overdue English homework.
